You guys. I did it. I made the best vegan grilled cheese sandwich ever and it was so easy!
I discovered a few new products recently, much to my healthy diet’s demise, and together they are a miraculous creation of oily, salty, creamy, crunchy goodness, otherwise known as a #grilledchzsammy.
Vegan Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Are you ready for how easy this is? Srsly r u rdy? Ok:
2 slices favorite bread
1-2 tbsp Earth Balance Roasted Garlic & Herbs Culinary Spread
2 slices Daiya Cheddar Style Slices
Heat pan up to medium heat
Put the two slices of cheese inside pieces of bread
Butter outside of sandwich with Earth Balance spread
Grill both sides of sandwich in pan until outside is golden brown and the cheese is melty gooey amazingness
I put dill pickle sauerkraut from Happy Pantry inside and it was sofa-king good. If you do not have access to this local San Diego company, regular sauerkraut + dill pickles will work.

2). J/k! I know sauerkraut isn’t for everyone, some alternatives: fresh tomatoes, black olives, artichoke hearts, sauteed spinach, fresh arugula, vegan tuna salad for a tuna melt, vegan ham, tofu scramble for a breakfast sammy (pictured below), tempeh and sauerkraut for a Reuben, sauteed mushrooms, carmelized onions, pickled onions, pickled jalapenos, raw chopped garlic, fresh basil, fresh pesto….or you could just eat it straight up, no funny business!
